Who we are

DTech Electrical & Technology Solutions operates this website at https://www.dtechslu.com. If you have any question about this policy or about information we hold, contact us at dtech.slu@gmail.com.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to send us through the contact form. That is: your name, email address, phone number, and optionally your company name; the type of property, the service you are enquiring about, your town or district, how urgent the job is, and an optional budget range; your preferred contact method; and the message you write.

Alongside that, we automatically record technical details about the submission: the page you submitted from, the website that referred you, any campaign tags in the link you followed, a one-way encrypted fingerprint of your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string. We store a fingerprint rather than your actual IP address, and it cannot be reversed back into one.

This website sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party analytics or tracking scripts. The only browser storage we use is a short-lived session entry that remembers which campaign link brought you to the site, so that the enquiry is attributed correctly. It is cleared when you close your browser.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation, and keep a record of the work we have discussed with you. The technical details help us understand which of our pages and campaigns generate genuine enquiries, and help us block automated spam submissions.

We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it for marketing purposes. We will not add you to a mailing list on the basis of a quote request.

Who can see it

Your enquiry is delivered to:

• DTech staff, by email to dtech.slu@gmail.com
• Our customer database, hosted on Supabase, which is access-controlled and used only by DTech
• Our email delivery provider, Resend, which transmits the message and does not use it for any other purpose
• Where DTech uses a customer relationship management system, a record of your enquiry is created there so that follow-up is not missed

These providers process the data on our instructions. Nobody else receives it unless we are required to disclose it by law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations — as a working rule, up to seven years from your last contact with us, after which records are deleted. Where an enquiry does not lead to work and you ask us to remove it sooner, we will.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete your enquiry and contact details from our records
• Stop contacting you

Email dtech.slu@gmail.com with the request. We will confirm once it is done. There is no charge for this.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry data is stored in an access-controlled database, and the credentials that write to it are held server-side only and never exposed to your browser. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not collect payment details, identity documents or any other sensitive category of information through this website — and you should never send those to us by email either.

Children

This site is aimed at property owners and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change how we handle enquiries, we will update this page and the date at the top. For anything significant, we will say what changed.
